Police recover smuggled sewing items

Sudurpaschim, July 28: Police have recovered the tailoring items which were supplied illegally. The smuggled goods worth over Rs 300 thousands were seized from Gulariyaghat of Bhajani Municipality-5 in Kailali district.

A police team mobilized under the command of assistant police inspector Keshav Saud collected the goods which were left unattended in the nearby forest this morning, according to the District Police Office.

Various accessories including sewing machines, needle holders, dress hook, needle plate, scissors, buttons, fastening tapes, bundles of thread and treadle screws were recovered by the police. It was found that the goods were brought by evading customs.

The smuggled items would be submitted to the Revenue Investigation and Customs office by following legal procedure.  (RSS)
