Kanchan Journalism Award' to be conferred upon Saru Magar and GT

Gandaki, July 26: The 'Kanchan Journalism Award-2083' is set to be conferred upon Khem Saru Magar from Kaski and Gopal GT from Syangja by the Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Journalists (FoNIJ).     

The award selection committee, led by Shanti Gurung, has recommended these recipients, who will each receive a prize of Rs 25,000 along with a certificate.     

Saru Magar is affiliated with Public Service Broadcasting, Radio Nepal in Pokhara, while GT works with Praman News Weekly and Praman Online.     

The awards ceremony is scheduled for August 6 in Pokhara, coinciding with FONIJ Day. This award was established by businessman Bimalman Guvaju and his family in memory of his parents.(RSS)
