Ghyampesal-Taku road in Gorkha obstructed for ten days

By Guna Bahadur Roka, Gorkha, July 24: Ghyampesal-Deurali-Taku road has been completely blocked for over ten days due to landslides at Pandrungkuna in Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-8.

Some 20 meters of the road has collapsed due to incessant rainfall, obstructing the vehicular mobility and forcing people to travel on foot for hours.

People of Taku, Deurali and vicinity have no way but go on foot for hours when they have some errand, said a local, Baburam Nepali.

Bishnu Bhatta, Chairma of the rural municipality, said that Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendra Raj Pande was apprised of the road condition as it is impossible for operating the road by repairing it with local level budget.

Locals have urged for immediate repair and resumption of road by mobilsing necessary equipment and human resource for the task.
