By A Staff Reporter, Lalitpur, July 23: Applications have opened for Mrs. Nepal World 2026, a beauty pageant for married women amid a programme held in Lalitpur on Wednesday.

The organisers invited eligible and interested Nepali women to participate in and showcase their talent and personality on national and international platforms.

Speaking at the event, organiser Nishu Kant Jha said this year’s edition would be grander, better organised and of a higher international standard.

According to the organisers, the first-round audition will be held on August 8 at Aryal International Hotel in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

There are no height or weight requirements for the competition, the organisers said.  According to the organiser, married and single women who have completed at least SEE/SLC or an equivalent qualification may apply from Nepal or abroad. Applications can be submitted through the Khalti app or the official website of Ribbon Entertainment, the organisers informed at the programme.

Ashwini Kant Jha will serve as the pageant choreographer, while dance choreography will be led by Sandip Bhujel. The event will be coordinated by Ganga Maharjan, Samrat Shah and Bindiya Shrestha.

In addition to selecting Mrs. Nepal World 2026, the event will also crown Mrs. Nepal International 2026, MS International 2026 and Mrs. Nepal Cosmo 2026. The winner of Mrs. Nepal World 2026 will represent Nepal at the Mrs. World pageant in the United States next year.

From this year, Ribbon Entertainment has expanded its international pageant portfolio by introducing the new national title Mrs. Nepal Cosmo 2026.

The winner will represent Nepal at the Mrs. Cosmo international competition in Myanmar.

The grand finale of this year's competition is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu on October 31.
