By Asmita Pokharel, Dhading, July 22: Four families have been displaced while drinking water supply in Dhadingbesi has been obstructed due to landslides at Bhulbhule in Nilakantha Municipality-2.
Locals said the landslides have affected over 200
ropanis of arable land.

drinking water, sanitation and hygiene board, said supply pipe of 1300 meters laying
from the spring to distribution tank has been swept away by the landslide, disrupting
drinking water supply to the district headquarters.
Over 2,500 households in the district headquarters
of Dhandingbesi have been directly affected owing to disruption in water
supply.
Bharat Bahadur Gurung, a local, said landslides have
not stopped due to incessant rainfall and affected families are demanding
relocation to safer places.
Bhim Dhungana, chief of Nilakantha municipality, deputy
chief Dipak Bishwakarma and Shiva Adhikari, chairman of district sanitation and
hygiene board, visited the landslides area and met with the affected people and
made commitment to address the demand of the affected people.
